This is an excellent role for a true Embedded systems engineer who would like to be involved in the development of advanced firmware applications. With the Mining Industry booming our award winning client has a requirement for a Enterprise database administrator to manage and monitor their fleet of SQL Servers Day to Day duties for this role will include but not be limited to: Management of SQL server fleet; Monitor our fleet of SQL Servers for performance and recommend improvements Plan for capacity in our SQL Servers; Install and configure new SQL Servers Ensure security across all Servers Ensure all SQL Servers are backed up appropriately Mentor one other Database Administrator Plan for high availability of SQL Servers Document SQL configurations To be successful in this role you will require: Strong commercial exposure to SQL 2000/2005; Good working knowledge of Windows Server Environment Excellent documentation skills The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with SQL Reporting services and Business Intelligence – Performance Point.
