The role is centre around Network/Server & Desktop operations to oversee the core IT Functions of the business. It will require the candidate to test, maintain/deploy and troubleshoot problems and document processes. The role will incorporate a strong sense of teamwork and the ideal candidate will have knowledge and skills of a broad range of IT Systems namely the below: System Development Life Cycle TCP/IP Networking LAN & WAN network technologies Server and Network operating systems Modern Computing and Storage technologies System integration Desktop and peripheral hardware Desktop operating systems (Windows) ITIL qualifications – highly desirable This role requires the ideal candidate to have a stronger focus on Client/Stakeholder relations and flexibility as some travel to sites will be required. If you are a UNIX/Solaris Administrator then you need to look at this role! A publicly listed big brand Australian company is on the lookout for a new UNIX/Solaris Administrator to join their team. You will need specific skills and experience in Sun Solaris, Linux or general UNIX Administration skills. In this role, you will be looking after the company’s IT infrastructure, performing day-to-day administration of core equipment, controlling critical IT events, and operating in a 24×7 environment where you will take direct ownership of issues and problem resolution. Experience relevant to this includes: Unix (Solaris preferred) administration experience; Excellent troubleshooting techniques; Exemplary verbal and written communication skills; and Experience with Unix based Internet services.
